Vegetable Cutter in Pakistan: What to Check Before You Buy a Chopper

By Maxum Mart Team ·

Choose a vegetable chopper by what you cook and how much storage you have. The 16-in-1 Vegetable Cutter is a multi-blade set with a container and accessories. The plastic multi cutter is a simpler alternative for basic cutting. Both are covered below, with what each listing says and what it does not.

What to check before you buy

  • Blades and cuts: the 16-in-1 listing says the blades are interchangeable for dicing, slicing, grating and shredding. The number of blades in the set is not listed - ask us on WhatsApp.
  • Blade material: the 16-in-1 listing describes stainless steel blades that are rust-resistant. The plastic multi cutter listing does not state a blade material.
  • Container: the 16-in-1 has a transparent container that catches the food and a built-in colander basket for rinsing and draining.
  • Safety features: the 16-in-1 has a non-slip base and a hand guard to hold the food. The plastic cutter listing says to handle the blades carefully and keep it out of reach of children. Take the same care with any chopper.
  • Accessories: the 16-in-1 listing mentions a cleaning fork and a handheld peeler.
  • Cleaning: the 16-in-1 has detachable parts that the listing calls easy to clean. For the plastic cutter, wash by hand and dry thoroughly.
  • Size: dimensions are not listed - ask us on WhatsApp if cupboard space is tight.

16-in-1 set or plastic multi cutter?

16-in-1 Vegetable Cutter

The listing says it replaces several kitchen gadgets with one set. It names onions, potatoes, carrots, cucumbers and tomatoes as produce it handles. The current price is Rs. 2,499. The trade-off: a bigger set means more parts to store and keep track of.

Plastic multi cutter

The listing describes a plastic cutter that cuts vegetables into consistent pieces for salads, sides and stir-fries. It does not list a blade count, a blade material, a container or accessories. The current price is Rs. 520. It suits you if you want a basic cutter and do not need a colander or extra tools.

Splash Filter, a separate add-on

The Splash Filter is not a cutter. It is a faucet attachment that rotates 360 degrees and is meant to reduce splashing while you rinse dishes, fruit and vegetables. The listing says it attaches to standard kitchen and bathroom faucets without special tools and is made of ABS. Consider it only if splashing at the sink bothers you.
